Community Involvement
Amy´s volunteer work in her community is solely focused on organizations which encourage, support and develop women and young people as leaders...

The Women´s Fund of Western Massachusetts is a fundraising and grantmaking organization. Its mission is to support programs that serve to empower and enrich the lives of women and girls in Western Massachusetts. Amy was on their Board of Directors from 2000 to 2006, and in 2001, was awarded the Northwestern Mutual Community Service Award for her volunteer work. As a result, the Women´s Fund received a $10,000 grant. As Chair of the 10 Year Anniversary Celebration in November 2007, Amy and her committee helped raise over $125,000 for The Women´s Fund.

Amy Jamrog is on the Development Committee for The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts and was recently acknowledged in their Annual Report. She and a local attorney teamed up to help a local couple make a complicated gift to the Foundation to establish a donor advised fund, all while keeping the donors' generosity annonymus. The Community Foundation of Western Massachsetts administers a charitable endowment consisting of approximately 470 separately identified funds ($85 million) serving the three counties in Western Massachusetts. Each fund was contributed by one or more generous donors who wished to make a difference, on a local scale, in those communities. They make it possible for good people to accomplish good works in the Pioneer Valley.
The Ronald McDonald House is a non-profit organization with a mission to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Amy has joined the board to take part in the change and solution of improving the lives of children and their families. This is accomplished by providing the financial means for families to stay together during the healing process of their child’s illness. Her contributions have helped RMHC extend their reach around the world, increasing their core programs by 37 percent by 2010.
The Jamrog Group generously sponsors many local events and groups including the Out for Reel organization, the popular lesbian, gay, bi, trans film series for western Massachusetts, eastern New York, and the greater New England region, the Hot Chocolate Run, a road race in Northampton held in order to benefit Safe Passage, The Garden: Center for Grieving Children, a non-profit agency providing support to young people and their families, as well as the Cooley Dickinson Hospital of Western Massachusetts, an acute care hospital that delivers quality care to the residents of their community.
